Mercury arrives in Libra and energy of Virgo Season now points to a sign that favors beauty and charm, connection and partnership. It’s a Virgo Season with a dash of Venus. With a Virgo solar eclipse on the horizon, Libra’s new beginnings will be a focus into 2026.
It’s a technical point, but it’s an important point. Astrology runs on “rulerships”. Each sign of the zodiac has a ruling planet that acts as a liaison, pulling the energy of the sign to other signs and configurations.
With Mercury in Libra, brings the energy and needs of Virgo into the sign of Libra. Virgo is an earth sign, which means it deals in the practical details of day-to-day life. But in Libra, Virgo receives the movement of element air, an element that also wants to connect and forge partnership.
Again, it’s a technical point, but it’s something to take note of because Libra is on the receiving end of the September 21-22 Virgo New Moon solar eclipse. And Libra is a cardinal sign, it aligns with the seasons, it initiates new beginnings. It says that the next six months, which is the period in which the solar eclipse will unfold, will activate a shift of seasons, one that will turn our attention to service and helping others (solar eclipse in Virgo with Mercury in Libra).
