The Sun meets up with the Virgo South Node and it’s a ripple of eclipse energy, a precursor to the Virgo solar eclipse on September 21. Our experiences today have subtext. They may hint at larger changes to come in the coming months.
The Lunar Nodes may be a newer term for some of you. And while they are not physical bodies, meaning we can’t see them in the sky, these mathematical points are what makes eclipses happen. For there to be a solar or lunar eclipse, a new or full moon must be within a certain amount of degrees from the Nodes.
Symbolically, the Lunar Nodes, with its North and South Nodes, represent a powerful axis in the sky, a current of energy that pulls us forward towards new horizons. They are always opposite from one another and they weave the celestial tapestry. Whatever two signs the Nodes are major focal points over a two year period.
The South Node, which has been in Virgo since January, is a point that takes us back to the past. Wherever the South Node is, we have some sort of unfinished business. It represents karma and lessons. It’s a well of memory and instinct.
With the Sun in the same spot in the sky as the Virgo South Node today — 18 degrees — the Sun has merged itself with this magnetic point. It’s a day to reexamine our instincts, to let go of something we are holding onto, to make positive changes in our health and wellness, to dedicate ourselves to becoming a better version of ourselves.
