The Astrology of September 1, 2026

Welcome to September. With the eclipses behind us, September is a month to begin to take stock of new stories and integrate recent eclipse-fueled changes. September is also Virgo Season. Plan, organize, make lists. Virgo prepares us for the months ahead.

Personally, I love Virgo Season. It teaches us to pay attention to the details of our lives. It also teaches us to bring reverence to our day to day lives through ritual and practice. It is one of the helping and healing signs, urging us to pay attention to our diets and how we take care of our health and wellness.

Since Virgo is an earth sign, it places us back into reality after the carefree days and (summer) holidays of Leo Season. As a result, we may be feeling a need to get back to basics.

Today we have an intense square peaking between Mars in Cancer and Saturn in Aries, an energy that may be a reality check for some. These are two planets that have the power to shift and move our lives, marking major personal milestones and turning points. Traditionally, Saturn is the planet of time, endings, and karma. Mars can be a trigger for Saturn.

Another way to look at things is that both Saturn and Mars show us what our priorities are. Saturn reveals our long-term priorities; Mars our short-term priorities. As a result, it’s a week to hustle and make sure we are on top of our priorities, but short and long term.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for September 2, 2026.
