It’s the last week of Capricorn Season, a season that got a restart with the January 12 Capricorn New Moon. We’re pushing into a new week. But a Pisces Moon is a check of our values and a reminder to speak and listen with compassion.
The main headliner for this week is Pluto’s final minutes in Capricorn, the closure of a 16-year story. (Yes, 16 years.) When it arrives in Aquarius on January 20, it’s the start of a shift in eras, one that will play out over the next 20 years.
And what is Pluto? A planet that speaks of reformation and transformation, a work of the soul, a need to deconstruct and reconstruct.
Astrology is just telling time — metaphoric time, symbolic time. Like hands on the clock, the planets move around the zodiac marking different cycles of time. The Sun hand is the easiest one to follow. It takes a year to circle the zodiac. Each year we mark our birthday. But the Pluto hand on the clock? It takes 248 years to circle the zodiac. The last time Pluto was the same place in the sky as it is now was the 1780s.
Pluto time is slow. It takes us into an experience or a process of transformation. All we have to do is go back to 2008 when Pluto entered Capricorn. Even if we are not a Capricorn, it is a sign that represents something in our lives. It could be our career sign or our relationship sign or our communication sign.

We had a taste of Pluto in Aquarius last year, from March 23 to June 10, 2023. Maybe there’s a clue for us in that time or a seed of something that will later reveal itself.
Don’t forget that we’re still in the midpoint of the eclipses this week. Things can change. Doors can open. People can come in and out of our lives.
