Mercury meets up with Venus in Scorpio, a duo of planets that may spark deep conversations as well as a need for vulnerability. With Venus Retrograde, relationships may need a second look. Hidden motives may be revealed. Be open to penetrating insights.

Venus has been retrograde for just a few days, but it’s a major thread for our experiences into mid November. Like all retrogrades, Venus Retrograde is a time to turn inward, to reflect, and tie up loose ends from the past. It’s a yin phase to Venus Direct’s yang phase.

Creation is duality. Energy is active or it is receptive. In order to find harmony and balance, we need to consider both sides. During Venus Retrograde an old lover or relationship may resurface. Or we realize that something we invested in doesn’t have the same value. The retrograde then becomes a time to rework and find new solutions.

This Venus Retrograde, primarily in Scorpio, will pull on deep psychological threads over the coming days and weeks. Although Scorpio can make us uncomfortable as a sign, there is power and magic to be found in this discomfort. This is how Scorpio can express the archetype of the alchemist.
