Happy Halloween! As we start the week, we’re coming up to one of our first checkpoints for the lunar month, one that began with a powerful Scorpio New Moon solar eclipse. Events over the next two days may bring this solar eclipse into sharper focus.
In fact, it’s a week that brings in a lot of eclipse energy. Let’s not forget that we’re in the midpoint between the eclipses this week, this liminal space where time bends and shifts. While the November 8 lunar eclipse is a bookend to the October 25 solar eclipse, eclipse energy weaves its way through different moments, both forward and backwards in time. (Watch a clip of my recent eclipse webinar.)
That said, Mars is now retrograde as of yesterday, stationing at 25 degrees Gemini. While there’s a persistent cultural narrative that retrogrades equal bad, we have to understand that a retrograde is a change in the flow of energy. It’s now receptive instead of active, yin instead of yang.
While Mars is retrograde, until January 12, 2023, we have to look at our subconscious or instinctual relationship with Mars, which is to say how we take action or use our power, will, or even anger. With Mars in Gemini, much of this work centers on the power of our words as well as the impact of our choices on others. And through this work, we learn to take new choices and communicate differently. What will Mars in Gemini activate for you? Read my sign-by-sign guide.
Today’s Facebook Live for the astrology of October 31-November 1, 2022 will be pre-recorded. Enjoy the Halloween holiday! You can watch it on YouTube, Instagram, and Spotify.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for November 1.
