Topping off a week filled with the powerful energies of a solar eclipse in Scorpio, we’ve got a few planets changing signs or directions, which means another shift. Jupiter returns to Pisces, Mercury arrives in Scorpio, and Mars Retrograde in Gemini.
First let’s start with Jupiter in Pisces. The planet of knowledge and faith has been scouting things out in Aries . After a retrograde in July, Jupiter has now returned back to Pisces, a sign it occupied from May 13 to July 28, 2021 and then again from December 28, 2021 until May 10, 2022. Pisces is home for Jupiter, a sign where we discover that knowledge doesn’t just come from books and worldly explorations … it comes from within.
Then on Saturday, Mercury arrives in Scorpio, a sign sharpens the mind as well as the tongue. Mercury in Scorpio is a keen investigator and detective, obsessor of details, with a talent for blunt analysis.
But it’s Mars Retrograde on Sunday that we want to watch. Changing direction at 25 Gemini, Mars is both the ruler of Scorpio Season and the ruler of the recent solar eclipse. We may see a shift in our eclipse story, an event may come up that demands our attention, or we may see the first seeds of a new beginning.
Mars Retrograde will also be a period, until January 12, 2023, where we need to take a second look at how we use our power. Is it underused or overused? Do we usually shoot first and ask questions later? All retrogrades are a work of reflection and consciousness and a time to use the energies of the planet in a more thoughtful way.
Don’t forget that we’re just past a Scorpio solar eclipse and getting ready for a lunar eclipse in Taurus in two weeks on November 8. Life’s a bit intense at the moment. Our lives are turning in a new direction. We’re in a new chapter of time, one that will be lived through the energies of Scorpio.
