Tomorrow’s Libra New Moon not only opens a new lunar month, but sets the stage for the next six months. After all, the new moon is also a solar eclipse, one that emphasizes the archetype of Libra — harmony, cooperation, connection, peace, and negotiation.
Libra is the consort to Aries. It’s the counter to Aries’s energies of individualization and determination. Astrology reminds us that we can’t be so overly self reliant that we forget about other people. And yet we can be so overly accommodating that we forget to advocate for our own needs. Thus is the dance of life.
That said, we’re still in the dark of the moon, the time when the lunar light is at its faintest, and only a day before the lunar eclipse. Our dreams may be vivid. Time may feel strange. Eclipses are portals.
