Building on yesterday’s full moon, the Scorpio Sun makes a dynamic opposition to Uranus. While this happens once a year, it doesn’t always happen around an eclipse. Be open to new revelations, breakthroughs, and calls for radical authenticity.
Sun opposite Uranus is what I call the “coming out” aspect. There’s such a strong psychic pressure for us to break out of a version of self that no longer or never was us. Uranus can bring freedom and liberation. But it can also bring sudden shifts of awareness and irrevocable changes.
When Uranus was discovered in 1781, it was an age of scientific and political revolution. Up until that point, Saturn was the last known planet in our solar system, representing a line between our visible and invisible solar system. Little did we know at the time that Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and more lay beyond that divide.
For that, Uranus is part of a class of evolutionary planets that work differently than the traditional planets. Uranus, like Neptune and Pluto, wants us to grow and evolve … by any means possible. And Uranus does its work by opening up our eyes, sometimes dramatically so.
So today’s opposition between the Sun and Uranus speaks to the identities that we create and forge that are not a reflection of our true selves. Have the courage to step out of something that is not you.
