Venus, newly in Cancer, makes a trine with Saturn into the weekend. It’s a time for relationships to take shape and to take form, to rally behind a sense of connection and commitment. It’s a steady hand after a season of shakeups and transformations.
As I mentioned in my May 8 update, Venus in Cancer is our guide for the rest of Taurus Season, until May 21. These signs combined — Taurus and Cancer — want us to slow down, to make time for the things that are really important.
Taurus is the first fixed and earth sign and Cancer the first cardinal and water sign. Both speak to the fundamental importance of feeling like we have a home, a sense of anchorage, as well as material resources to count on. So it’s a weekend to get back to basics and gather the things we need to create a sense of care and comfort in our lives.
Mercury in Taurus also makes a quiet sextile to Venus and Saturn. Although retrograde, it’s a time to return to something from the past and to have conversations that smooth over hard edges.
