We’re not quite ready to start the week. Instead, we’re rounding out the lunar month, quietly reflecting as we prepare for tomorrow’s Taurus New Moon. Nevertheless, the Moon’s in Taurus. Eat, sleep, indulge, and dream of what your new moon wishes.
That said, tomorrow’s new moon marks a new chapter, turning our attention to our material lives, from what we own and earn to the resources that we draw upon and the things we value — including ourselves. It also opens a lunar month that will be marked by a lunar eclipse on May 26. Yes, it’s time for another eclipse season.
Eclipses, which happen every six months, change up the narrative. They coincide with events, life milestones, and a turn us — sometimes rapidly — in a new direction. All you have to do is go back and reflect on what was happening last eclipse season, in November-December 2020, for a reference.
So, here we are, on the verge of change once again. If you’re a mutable sign — Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces — you’re feeling this build up of energy most strongly. Life may feel a bit loud at the moment or there’s a sense of anticipation.
I often use the metaphor of a theatrical performance when I talk about eclipse. It’s as if the curtain has come down. We can sense the change of the actors and set pieces behind the scenes. And we’re waiting for the curtain to come up on a new act.
In other news, Mercury meets up with the North Node. We have a decision to make, something that may feel like it has far reaching ramifications. We’re ready to pivot in a new direction.
