Welcome to May, a month that showcases the energies of Taurus and its ruling planet Venus. It’s a season to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of the natural world, to slow down, and take inventory. But it’s also a dynamic month that may speed things up.
Astrology is often contradictory. For example, during the rush of new energy under Aries Season, we had many planets in Pisces, a sign of rest and transition. Can life be two things at once? Of course.
Similarly, if Taurus Season, along with Venus in Taurus, is the art of enjoying everything that the material world has to offer, then we may feel that May rushes us ahead. After all, Mars is now in Aries, a fast and quick placement for the planet of action.
That said, Venus makes a square to Pluto in Aquarius, a combination that adds some obsession and grit to our experiences. If Venus is what we value and invest time and money in, then Pluto may be revealing hidden motivations or pushing us to make a structural change. There may be things around money and power, too. (Incidentally, this is the first time Venus has squared Pluto in Aquarius in over two centuries.)
As with all things Pluto, look for the deeper work, the mirror that helps us see ourselves as we are.
