Venus, newly in Leo, meets up with the Lunar Nodes, squaring off an axis of energy that has been known to activate the energy of fate and destiny. As a result, relationships may be at a crossroads. People may be coming in and out of our lives. It’s a pivot point.
Since January 2022, the Lunar Nodes have been in Taurus and Scorpio. If this is the first you’re hearing of the Lunar Nodes or if you’re not quite sure what they mean, they are two opposite points in the sky that tell us when and where eclipses will happen. They mark the point, astronomically speaking, where the Moon intersects with the ecliptic as it goes around the Earth.
On the astrology side of things, I’ve seen ripples of eclipse energy when a planet makes contact, whether by conjunction or square, to the Lunar Nodes. And today Venus in Leo square the North Node in Taurus and South Node in Scorpio. This is a dynamic square, not just because of the Lunar Nodes, but because Venus is the ruler of the North Node in Taurus. Which is to say, it pulls at the energy. Something wants to take shape and take form.
A North Node in Taurus tells us that we’ve been in a time over the past year and a half about finding a new relationship with stability and security, pleasure and comfort, money and value. What have we learned? All of this has been at the expense of some tough work with the South Node in Scorpio where we’ve had to look at some uncomfortable emotions and let go of anything whose time has come.
If something leaves this week, it’s to make way for something new.
