Neptune turns retrograde at 27 Pisces, an influence that is both subtle and atmospheric, magnetic and spiritual, imbuing our week with an otherworldly energy. That said, Neptune is an evolutionary planet, it reminds us that our work is to transcend ourselves.
It’s hard to get a true feel for Neptune. Often it runs in the background, much like the Moon. It lacks the bracing clarity of Saturn, the sweeping change of Uranus, and the gut wrenching transformation of Pluto. While Neptune may be quiet, we shouldn’t underestimate it.
Look for a subtle current this week, the presence of something that reveals both our humanity as well as our universality. Look for moments to forgive and let go, to find compassion and to open our hearts. But we have to be aware of our illusions, the moments when we are deceived by our doubts, our ego, our pride. And, Neptune always gives us the opportunity to find redemption.
Additionally, Venus squares Uranus this weekend, on July 2. Like Neptune, Uranus is an evolutionary planet. But it does its work by upending, awakening, and shaking up the status quo. We felt the force of Uranus earlier this week with a square to Mars on June 26. As a result, something may be shaking up, especially around relationships and money.
