Mercury, now in Cancer, squares off with Neptune, an aspect that can inspire us to create and vision, but can also cloud our thinking. It’s perfect for artists and intuitives. But for the rest of us, we may need to double check if the information we are receiving is accurate.
Mercury is what’s called a “personal” planet. Meaning, it describes something that is personal to us. Mercury is how we think, listen, learn, move, and make choices. Neptune, on the other hand, is an “evolutionary” planet. When an evolutionary planet comes into contact with a personal planet, that planet must transcend itself in order to evolve.
When Mercury and Neptune make a connection, the thinking mind crosses paths with a force that dissolves the boundaries between this world and the next. How we think must evolve in order to be more compassionate, understanding, and accepting. The highest expression of Neptune is unity and unconditional love. But sometimes this crossing of energies can create real human problems such as confusion — or, worse, create lies, deceit, and subterfuge.
Note that Neptune is the early degrees of Aries, a sign it first entered in 2025 and again on January 26, 2026, where it will remain for the next fourteen years. It’s hard to grasp let alone to see Neptune at work in our lives because it is so subtle. But the Aries part of our astrology will need to transcend itself over the coming years.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for June 4, 2026.
