The Astrology of June 19, 2026

After eight years in Aries, Chiron makes its first arrival in Taurus, a preview of a new healing story that will last three months before Chiron returns to Aries on September 17. Over the coming weeks our task is to feel for Chiron, listen for its subtle — sometimes not subtle — message of what needs renewed healing work.

Chiron is not a traditional planet. Meaning, it was not known to the ancients, who only could see as far as Saturn. Discovered only in 1977, we’ve had 50 years with Chiron, enough time to discover a planet — or rather an asteroid — that shows what we must heal in this lifetime. Its symbol is a key and that key, when we truly access it, can open the higher potential for our lives.

Chiron is subtle. We are often not aware of it, and yet Chiron works on emotional, psychic, and soul levels, revealing a core pain point. Unlike planets in the traditional sense, that express themselves on a fixed plane of energy, Chiron moves owing to its ability to reflect the subtle knots woven around our pain.

We all have something that strikes a nerve, something that stubbornly remains in spite of therapy and other modalities. It could be self-worth, or standing up for ourselves, or feeling like we are heard — to name a few examples. Often this is because we haven’t been able to transcend ourselves and the identity we have built around this personal pain. (Watch my 2019 webinar, Chiron: Healing the Soul)

In a channel I received on Chiron back in 2015, was that Chiron was a knot of suffering that needed to be undone. A lot of the messaging on Chiron at the time was that it was “the wound that never heals”. According to this channel, we can indeed heal our Chiron, undoing this knot of suffering. It’s a great work, and one that requires us to see our pain not just as personal but as collective. (Read On Chiron, Suffering, and Knots.)

We take the things that have made us suffer the most and use it like medicine. Then Chiron can become a key and open the higher potential of our lives. That’s why those who have redefined themselves in the face of great tragedy or abuse by taking their suffering and using it to help others often have Chiron prominent in their astrology.

For many of us, Chiron in Taurus may go unnoticed. But it will be there, for the next three months, a time in which the following themes may come to the surface for healing:

  • Self-worth and value
  • Our relationship with our bodies
  • Our relationship with money
  • Our attachment to materialism
  • Food and element earth
  • Stability and security

Note that Chiron will be in Taurus from June 19 to September 17, 2026, returning to Aries and then back to Taurus on April 14, 2027.
