The Astrology of July 6, 2026

We start the week with a big check-in with Saturn, a planet that governs over our growth and maturity as well as lessons in responsibility and accountability. As a result, it may be a day to put things in order, to set boundaries, and to mark a milestone.

As an astrologer, Saturn is my go-to planet. Not only does it tell me what time it is, it reveals how time is shaping and forming our lives. Take, for example, Saturn’s arrival in Aries back on February 13, setting in motion a story that has built along predictable points, from events in mid-to-late April to this month and Saturn’s retrograde on July 26. When we look back, especially when we get to the start of 2027, we will see how events in our lives have threaded through these points — February, April, July as well as August and December 2026. (Read Saturn in Aries: Sign by Sign.)

This week is a prelude to Saturn’s retrograde turn later this month, a marker in a chapter in our lives that will ultimately play out into April 2028, the duration of Saturn’s time in Aries.

So, practically speaking, this is a day to put things in order. Saturn loves balance and despite its hard reputation in astrology, Saturn is trying to help us to find balance. It’s also a day to show up on time or show up for someone else, or to set boundaries as a way of putting things in balance.

Note that today’s Sun-Saturn square at 14 Aries has a connection to the Sun-Saturn conjunction of March 25 at 4 Aries, part of a larger cycle that will play out into next year. Saturn will turn retrograde on July 26 at 14 Aries and direct on December 10 at 7 Aries.
