Jupiter, now in Leo, makes a powerful opposition to Pluto in Aquarius, two planets that draw upon the evolutionary forces that shape, forge, and transform the soul. We may feel this as a battle of wills or a reckoning of faith, or an unflinching look at the self.
Jupiter and Pluto do not oppose each other very often. In fact, we must go all the way back to August 8, 2013, January 31, 2014, and April 21, 2014. Then, Jupiter was in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn. And when we look back at that period of our lives, it may be possible that our world was in a state of transition.
Jupiter and Pluto are heavy hitters. Along with Saturn, a similar cohort, they push and pull at the larger structure of our lives. Jupiter demands growth. Our lives must grow, we seek and search for more. Jupiter reflects this deep soul-level urge that ultimately calls for the growth of the spirit.
Pluto is also growth, but it is growth fueled by the trials of life, the alchemy of turning some of our most difficult moments into light. Pluto is a forge, a mirror, our shadow.
Perhaps we are in the midst of being reshaped and remade? But, first, we must confront ourselves.
An opposition traces its way back to the beginning of the cycle. In this case, a conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto on April 4, 2020; June 30, 2020; and November 12, 2020.
Whatever seeds we planted in 2020 are now coming to fruition.
