Chiron turns retrograde at 16 Aries, an influence that we feel more on an emotional and psychic level. If Chiron reveals a pain point or something in need of healing on a soul level, then there’s something that we have to have the courage to deal with today.
Chiron’s not always something that’s easy to connect with tangibly. It often plays in the background, like subtle — or not so subtle — ache of emotional scar tissue. When I talk about Chiron with my clients, I have to remind them that we all have something that makes us suffer, an ache that makes us not so dissimilar from others. Surely, for example, if self worth is something that hits a pain point, we’re not the only ones to struggle with our self worth in the world.
That’s the thing about Chiron. It functions personally and collectively and that healing happens on this dual level. Chiron is the key to unlocking our highest potential. And what’s Chiron in Aries? The personal and collective pain point is around courage, power, agency, and action. It’s the scars of war and conflict. It’s the suffering of feeling like we don’t have control, that we can’t stand up for ourselves, that we always run away. (Read more about Chiron in Aries.)
But Chiron in Aries reminds us that when we show others our courage and bravery it helps others have courage and bravery.
Chiron isn’t the only planet making moves today. Mercury enters Leo, a sign where the planet of voice, education, and travel learns to shine. This is Mercury at its most playful and creative. We need to make sure we’re expressing our true selves over the coming weeks. Mercury is in Leo until August 4.
