An Aquarius Moon brings us to the end of the work week, a Moon that highlights friends and community as well as broader social themes and issues. As one of the last signs of the zodiac, Aquarius points us away from the individual and towards the collective.
The Moon isn’t the only planet in Aquarius right now. Saturn’s in Aquarius, too, a sign that it’s been in since 2020. While the Moon spends a mere two-and-a-half to three days in a sign, Saturn spends two-and-a-half to three years.
And what’s Saturn? A point to our collective as well as personal astrology where we have to step up and learn the lessons. And what’s Saturn in Aquarius? Lessons around friendship, social connection, social causes, social justice, technology, and humanity — themes that surely feel familiar when we look back at our lives since 2020. (Discover more in Saturn in Aquarius: Building Humanity.)
Saturn won’t leave Aquarius until March 2023, so we’re still doing our work in the sign of Aquarius. Today’s Moon just merely reinforces this.
This weekend, however, the Moon moves into Pisces and the mood changes. Pisces is a water sign, just like Cancer, the sign of the Sun. Water is about feeling and emotions, the past and memory, bonds and connection, care and nurture. It will surely be a sensitive weekend, especially as the Sun comes up to a trine to Neptune in Pisces.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for July 16-18.
