With Pluto now in Aquarius, we start the week with a different flavor, a different set of instructions that hint at larger restructures to come. The Sun’s in Aquarius, too, a season that takes us out of the personal and into community and broader societal themes.
The astrological calendar doesn’t quite align with our calendar, which begins on January 1. When the Sun arrives in Aquarius, like it did a few days ago, we step into the 11th sign — the 11th month of the zodiac year, which is almost to the end.
In Aquarius, it’s not about the personal; it’s about the collective. We’ve reached a sign that has a talent for connecting the dots, for seeing the larger framework. Aquarius is systems, whether those systems are technological, social, or planetary in nature. Aquarius also helps us to turn our attention to the future, helping us to look beyond the horizon and vision a new world.
That said, the Moon’s in Cancer, a sign that is very much about the personal and one that runs on emotions and instincts instead of Aquarius’s rational thinking. It’s a day to unite the two and to tend to the systems that run our daily lives.
More on this week’s astrology in my Facebook Live for January 22-28, 2024. (This week I’m not stuck in a Denver airport or on a plane, so I won’t miss my show lol.) You can watch the replay on YouTube and Instagram.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for January 23, 2024.
