Welcome to Aquarius Season. The Sun arrived in the 11th sign of the zodiac yesterday, bringing us into a season that spotlights element air and its ability to build systems and societies. With Pluto in Aquarius, we’re in our first exploration of a new era.

Tomorrow’s conjunction of the Sun and Pluto in Aquarius is a first, certainly the first in two centuries, but the first conjunction of the Sun to Pluto in a series that will stretch out over the next 20 years. We’ve already had some time to get a feel for Pluto on Aquarius — from March 23 to June 11, 2023; from January 20 to September 1, 2024; and back again for good on November 19, 2024. The Sun, however, is a lens for Pluto.

Some area of our lives are in the early stages of a complete overhaul, depending on where Aquarius is in our chart. Take note of themes and experiences, even if part of our internal dialogue. For a reminder, read Pluto in Aquarius: Sign by Sign.

In the meantime, on a big picture level, Aquarius starts our conclusion of the astrological year. As the penultimate sign of the zodiac, we’re in a sign that spotlights community and the social fabric, society and humanity, social issues and social causes.

With Saturn, the ruler of Aquarius, in Pisces, it’s a season for the empathy and compassion of Pisces and a desire to build something in our lives that supports the greater whole.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for January 21, 2025.
