Mars squares Neptune. Sometimes it’s not about what we want, but learning to align or even adapt our desires to circumstances that may be out of our control. Our actions must be compassionate, altruistic.
That’s the tricky thing about Neptune. If Mars describes something that’s very personal and individual to us, which is to say, our needs, then its connection to Neptune is a demand to transcend our personal needs.
Neptune is an evolutionary planet. Its job is to get us to transform by any means possible. It opens us up to spiritual energies, it dissolves the boundaries between this world and the next. And it reminds us that there are forces in the universe that are greater than our ego.
