The Sun squares the Lunar Nodes, a crossing that marks the midpoint of the eclipses. We’re three months before and three months after eclipse season. It’s a turning point as well as a bump of energy that can open and close doors and mark a milestone.
As an astrologer I am fascinated by eclipses. Not just by their ability to change our lives and coincide with major events, but their part in the larger mechanism of time and how time manifests over the span of a year, if not many years.
For me, eclipses mark the hour; they push along the story arc of our lives. An event tied to an eclipse can happen before the eclipse. (For example, the Moon or another planet reaching the degree of an upcoming eclipse.) Often an event arrives after the eclipse and what I’ve observed is that the time and the new or full moon three months after an eclipse is a powerful marker of its energies.
Tomorrow’s Capricorn New Moon falls at 20 degrees, nearly an exact square to the Libra New Moon solar eclipse of October 14. Events from October may directly tie to events this week or so. Something may manifest that is thematically related to the eclipse three months before and its focus on relationship and connection. People may be coming in and out of our lives. Or we may see a preview of events to come with the April 8 solar eclipse in Aries.
