Mercury in Pisces makes a square to Jupiter in Gemini, a point of tension that may pull at themes of faith and meaning. It may also be a time where we need to make the decision to live a truth our conviction. Travel and exploration are also highlighted.
Mercury’s square to Jupiter is a bit ephemeral seeing how Mercury is moving rather quickly through the sign — the aspect will come and go. But the square plugs into some bigger influences, namely Jupiter’s long-term square to Saturn in Pisces.
Since Jupiter arrived in Gemini in late May 2024, it’s roughly been in a square aspect (90 degrees) to Saturn. Gemini and Pisces are mutable signs, the signs that help us learn about and discover the world around us. Gemini is all facts and information. But Pisces is knowledge that becomes consciousness so that it may be transmitted. It is the inner discovery of a truth that cannot be rationally explained.
This Pisces Season is a need to make choices (Gemini) based on our faith and conviction. This isn’t the faith of religion, instead it is the faith that lives inside of us, an inner habitation of something deep within, born of compassion and connection.
When Mercury makes a conjunction to Saturn next week, on February 25, we may have to make a commitment, a concrete choice that up until now has been living abstractly within us.
Mercury also plays into an upcoming lunar eclipse on March 14, an eclipse that makes an opposition to Saturn and Neptune. March will be a turning point for many.
