Mercury conjuncts Pluto, an aspect that has been slowly building since Mercury turned direct on February 3. Pluto has a habit of showing us what’s in the way of our evolution and growth, sometimes bracingly so.
Conjunctions are also both an ending and a beginning as two objects come together in the sky, Mercury the planet of voice and communication meeting up with Pluto, an evolutionary planet, one that holds a mirror to us.
But this isn’t the first conjunction. In fact, Mercury made its first pass to Pluto in Capricorn on December 30 and then moved onto Aquarius, turning retrograde on January 14 and making a second conjunction to Pluto in Capricorn on January 28. The final conjunction may mark the conclusion of something, a powerful lasting insight, or a need to end something once and for all.
When we meet the energies of Pluto, something is irrevocably changed. We can’t go back. Use this energy to underscore anything that needs to end or to have a revealing yet necessary conversation.
Going into the weekend, the Cancer Moon prefers to keep it cozy and surrounded by the familiar. Projects need our attention and it’s a good time to rest up before next week’s Leo Full Moon.
