We start the week with the Moon crosses from Pisces to Aries, from dreaming to waking. Aries gives us a boost of element fire alongside a Sagittarius Sun, a creative fire that inspires and motivates. It also picks up on Mars, newly retrograde in Leo.
For the next two months, Mars is retrograde, crossing between Leo and Cancer and back again. As we pick up speed with today’s Aries Moon, it’s our first real encounter with the energies of Mars Retrograde. It’s good to be an observer of your feelings and the events surrounding them. They may hint at a larger story that will play out into the new year.
A retrograde is always an opportunity to reveal what has been previously hidden. In the case of Mars Retrograde, to gain a deeper understanding of how we use our Mars … how we connect with our desires, our passions, how we go after what we want, or how we don’t.
That said, we’re in the run up to a Gemini Full Moon this week, on December 15. Gemini is the complement to Sagittarius, two signs that help us to learn and discover, to be curious and open up our world. Gemini is specifically the sign of communication and education. With Mercury in its last leg of its retrograde, information and exchanges may be a little wonky.
Then again, a retrograde is always an opportunity to reveal something that has been hidden.
