Mars turns retrograde, an event that happens every two years. It’s our periodic reminder that life needs reflection as well as a recharge. Turning retrograde in Leo, one of our works will be to reconnect with our desires and passion over the next two months.
If a planet in direct motion is a yang energy, then the retrograde is a yin phase of energy, receptive instead of active. Life is both. Energy pushes out, energy pushes in.
Considering that Mars is now retrograde, the planet of action and drive has to find its receptivity, to learn to consult its intuition and feeling, and to look within for discoveries. Mars Retrograde also means that we need to work on our karma with Mars, to reflect on how we take action, on how we connect or disconnect with our desires, and to make necessary changes.
During this Mars Retrograde, which is from December 6, 2024 to February 23, 2025, Mars goes back and forth between Leo and Cancer, between how we express ourselves and how we feel. While it does so, it makes a series of three oppositions in total to Pluto. Which means that there is a soul level push to make a great transformation with how we take action and connect with our desires and passions.
