Mars, on its way out of Sagittarius, makes a square to Neptune in Pisces. If Mars in Sagittarius has been faith in action, then Neptune asks us to search within for answers, to question what we believe in, or search for mystical knowledge and wisdom.
To understand the square between Mars and Neptune, we need to get to the heart of what Mars means. As the ruler of Aries and Scorpio, it speaks to the bravery and courage, the motivation and desire needed to move forward in life. With Aries, Mars is very physical in its actions. In Scorpio, Mars is very internal, emotional, and psychological.
Regardless, Mars can be a bit self motivated in pursuit of its desires and interests. Neptune, on the other hand, isn’t self motivated. As an evolutionary planet, it works differently than Mars. It goes beyond the physical and into the etheric. It is trying to evolve us to open up our awareness beyond the physical plane, to help us understand how our actions impact others.
We can’t be selfish when it comes to Neptune. But we have to be careful that we aren’t being self sacrificial either.
