We’re in the dark of the moon, the time before the new moon when we pull back from the world to rest and reflect. On the edge of a solar eclipse, what have we learned since the last solar eclipse in June 2021?

Astrology is about intertwining cycles of time and no more is that evident than with the eclipses. In fact, time is a bit funny with eclipses. We can see a future eclipse manifest a month or two before. We can also see how an eclipse from 2021 is intimately linked with one from 19 years before.

That said, the Moon’s in Scorpio and we’re bringing to a close a Scorpio lunar month that began with a new moon on November 4. Over the last four weeks we’ve needed to self examine, ask ourselves the hard questions, and look into our blind spots. With Mars also in Scorpio, there’s been pointed, sometimes obsessive moments in the previous weeks. But something deep may have shifted.

Note that Mars will finally leave Scorpio on December 13, arriving in Sagittarius. But many of our experiences while Mars has been in Scorpio will be seeds for our experiences when the eclipses come to Scorpio in April 2022.

After all, the past is the present is the future.
