The Sun leaves Leo for Virgo today and we arrive at a new season, a flip of the page on the astrological calendar that takes us into the sixth sign of the zodiac. In Virgo, we discover the practicalities of daily life. We find craft, detail, and service to others.
Although the arrival of Virgo Season sadly feels like the start of the end of summer, at least here in the northern hemisphere, I do personally love the interplay between Leo and Virgo. If Leo Season was the rediscovery of all that we love, that inspires us and gives us joy, then in Virgo we integrate this energy into our day-to-day lives. We make time for and invest in what we love. We organize our day around this energy.
For example, as some of you may know, I was away for a couple of weeks, driving between Italy and Slovenia. Traveling is a love for me. After all, I am Sagittarius Rising, the sign of the explorer and adventurer.
You may not know that I love art, music, architecture, and history as well. I love good food and wine and visited vineyards and a couple of Michelin starred restaurants, too. All these things fill me with joy. So, in the spirit of Virgo, do I bring this energy into my life stateside? Leo Season may be one month of the year, but the Sun stays with us for the other eleven months.
Of course, Virgo are the duties and responsibilities of life, but duties and responsibilities that are not fueled by love — Leo — invariably crushes the life out of us.
Use Virgo Season to reassess your relationship with duty, especially with Mercury Retrograde until August 28 . Find pleasure in the small things. Take stock of the operations of your life and reorganize and clean out what’s no longer working. Focus on health and wellness. Restructure your time. Make a harvest of what you’ve been growing all year. Be of service, expecting nothing in return.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for August 23, 2024.
