We start the week with a Libra Moon, one that picks up on Venus Retrograde. After four weeks, we’re beginning to close out a chapter dedicated to reviewing what we love, what we value, and what we invest time and money in. What have we learned?

Yes, Venus has been retrograde since July 22, winding its way back through Leo. Since all planets turn retrograde, except for the Sun and the Moon, this is the natural time for Venus to go back to the past, pull inward, and to see relationships and even financial matters from a different perspective. (Note that Venus turns direct on September 3 at 12 Leo.)

Tomorrow’s square between Venus and Jupiter is actually the second in a series of three, the first having been on June 11. In Leo, Venus loves the romance of life and loves to be loved. It invests in the things that light it up and give it passion. Jupiter has a tendency to over exaggerate, which is why Venus square Jupiter has a reputation for being indulgent, especially with spending and food.

But it’s important to remember that Jupiter is a planet that tries to expand our horizons, open us up to the world, and help us to figure out what we believe in and stand for. With that in mind, it’s another step in our retrograde process of getting clearer about what is of value and what aligns to our greater vision

Lastly, we’re beginning to say goodbye to Leo Season and preparing to welcome the Sun in Virgo, which is a much different energy than Leo. More grounded and practical, Virgo takes the creative vision of Leo and helps us to turn it into something real.
