We start the week with a Virgo Moon, one that gets a push from Mercury at the end of Aries. Time to tidy up, get organized, and make plans for the days ahead. When Mercury arrives in Taurus later today, we’re investing in our material stability and security.
While Mercury tends to be very cautious in Taurus, favoring taking its time to make the right choice, it does join Uranus in Taurus, a planet that has no problem with taking a risk. It’s not that we can’t be pragmatic while Mercury is in Taurus. Instead we have to make choices that free us from ourselves.
In fact, Mercury is going to be spending quite a while in Taurus, not leaving until June 11. Normally Mercury can breeze through a sign in two weeks. But this longer visit is a signal that Mercury’s gearing up for another retrograde. Yes, Mercury will be retrograde in Taurus from April 21 until May 14, from 15 to 5 degrees and back. This means that we’re going to have to really take our time discovering the value of things over the coming weeks … all to free ourselves.
That said, Mercury Retrograde isn’t the only thing on our horizon. We’re only two weeks out from a solar eclipse on April 20 at 29 Aries. Life’s got another twist and turn for us after a March that brought us two major changes in the astrology. As the sign of new beginnings, an Aries solar eclipse will launch us into a new chapter, one that ushers in a series of eclipses in Aries and Libra over the next 18-months.
Perhaps this week’s Libra Full Moon on April 6 will be a preview for this eclipse series. While not an eclipse, it brings to the forefront themes about relationship and connection, individualization and self direction that will play out into 2025.
Speaking of March’s major changes, I did a two-hour webinar last week on Pluto’s first arrival in Aquarius and what it means for you. You can watch the introduction here or get the full Pluto in Aquarius: A New Era webinar.
Join me for my Facebook Live today at 6pm ET. In it I’ll be discussing the Libra Full Moon and its preview of eclipse season. You can get the replay on YouTube, Instagram, and Spotify.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for April 4, 2023.
