Mars arrives in Sagittarius! Over the coming six weeks we’re searching the world for new adventures. We also have a desire to learn and explore the philosophical side of life. That said, we’ll need to steer clear of Mars in Sagittarius’s opinionated streak.
It’s the end of a decade! Let’s do a quick recap of the 2010s and then take a peek at 2020’s astrology. Plus, we’re gearing up for another eclipse on January 10.
With the Moon in Sagittarius, we’re feeling philosophical today. We’re also searching for truth meaning. The Moon will also meet up with Mars, so be careful of Mars in Sag’s tendency to be overly opinionated. Be open to ways of seeing old problems.
The Moon passes through Scorpio and we turn towards life’s darker shades. Scorpio teaches us about the shadow, the facets of ourselves that we don’t want to recognize, the facets that show up in our relationships. Intimacy, vulnerability, trust are key themes today.

Mars arrives in Sagittarius for a seven week stay, inspiring us to travel great distances or seek out education and new experiences. In Sagittarius Mars has a desire to know. It’s an obsessive seeker of truth and a collector of opinions, some of which can be a touch self righteous.
After a whopping 20 weeks in Sagittarius, Mars finally arrives in Capricorn today. True, Mars and Sag got on pretty well, both sharing an adventurous spirit, but the retrograde really dug into the not so pleasant side of Mars in Sag — self righteousness and fundamentalism.
Although we just began a lunar month with Leo’s playful energy in the spotlight, we’ve still got a lot of heavy lifting ahead of us. August will be a month of major commitments, milestones, and turning points. What are you creating?
Lost in the shuffle of yesterday’s Leo New Moon, was Mars’s reentry into Sagittarius, the sign of travel, wisdom, and faith. Hallelujah! Because I’m pretty sure Mars in Scorpio nearly killed us. I mean, look at the last two months? Insert prayer emoji.
After ten weeks retrograde, Mars finally turns direct today. Phew! We’ve had to do some serious work on where we’re wrong, where our stubborn faith and nearsightedness have taken us of course. Hopefully we learned something.
The full moon is also right on Mars, making something that we call a conjunction in astrology. This is a bit of an angry or in-your-face placement for Mars, like someone, out of no where, telling you how they really feel. And seeing how Mars is retrograde, we have something to work out from the past.
