Last day of January. We’re on the cusp of the Aquarius New Moon, too, which means that we’re in that dark lunar space before a new beginning. Rest and reflect. The coming month brings an echo of eclipse energy.
As Venus prepares to turn direct this weekend in Capricorn, Mercury, also retrograde in Capricorn, meets up with Pluto. A lot of our work lately has been a deep reformation of what we value and how we communicate.
While we get our first taste of the South Node in Scorpio with today’s Scorpio Moon, let’s not forget that Mars is in Capricorn. Today’s energy points towards achievement, but also letting go of what’s not working.
The Moon arrives in Scorpio, a reminder that the South Node of the Moon is now in Scorpio as of last week. We’re in a new chapter of time, one where we have to peer beneath the surface and look at the dark within.
Mercury returns to Capricorn, winding back to events from late December when Mercury was last in the sign. Time to get a second look or second opinion. Capricorn gives Mercury clarity and focus.
The story continues to change. Building upon last week’s shifts of Uranus and the Lunar Nodes, the planets Mars and Mercury arrive in Capricorn, albeit at opposite ends. Venus also comes to the end of its retrograde, turning direct in Capricorn.
Mars arrives in Capricorn after six weeks in Sagittarius, powering and motivating us to get serious, focused, and organized. We’re in building mode. And with Saturn in Aquarius, we’re building for the future.
After an action packed start to the week, a Virgo Moon puts things into focus. Although Mercury is currently retrograde, it’s still a day to reflect, edit, and reconsider different approaches to old problems.
