Welcome to February! We’re starting to come to the end of our zodiac journey this month. Aquarius Season helps us to see the big picture and connect the dots. It’s friends and community, networks and systems. It’s the hope for something better.

You may want to take some notes this Aquarius Season because its themes may weave themselves into the coming next few years when Saturn arrives in Aquarius on March 21. And what are Aquarius themes? Science, technology, intellect, social causes, social justice, and humanity. Mind you, Saturn will only be in Aquarius from March until July 1, but it’s a sign that we’ll all be doing more work on once Saturn officially arrives in Aquarius on December 17.

That said, it’s a season for new horizons and new perspectives. With Mars in Sagittarius for the first half of the month, it’s a heady or even intellectual time. We’ve got big ideas and we’re eager to share them with others. As a result, we may be spending more time in our communities or with our friends, groups, and networks.

Mars changes signs on February 16, trading Sagittarius for Capricorn. This is the planet you want to keep your eye on in the second half of February and into March. Mars will activate recent eclipse degrees and bring some fire to an already powerful lineup of Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter in Capricorn.

Think back to late December and the start of the new year. What was going on? Astrologically we know that there was a rare conjunction of Saturn and Pluto. Old walls had to come down. Existing structures had to change. Power dynamics had to transform. A new beginning was seeded. Mars’s arrival in Capricorn means that we now have to take action with things that began earlier this year. It also means that we may experience eclipse like energy later in February. The stage of our life and the characters on it may shift yet again.

Mercury also turns retrograde on February 16 in the sign of Pisces, a sign that makes Mercury very intuitive, artistic, and a little hazy. While Mercury Retrograde should’t cause panic, it may mean that communication and choices may not be clear until early March. Just make sure you are double checking things as well as the making the usual precautions.

Let’s not forget there’s a dynamic Leo Full Moon on February 9, a moon that wants us all to shine, have fun, and share our talents with the world. With support from Mars in Sagittarius, we may be spending more time with friends or making social connections in the first half of February.

Venus also arrives in Aries on February 7, meeting up with Chiron and square the Lunar Nodes just before Valentine’s Day. As a result, this annual holiday devoted to love may touch on some sticker emotional issues. And with may be at a crossroads with relationships, too.

Lastly, speaking of Valentine’s day, I’m doing a webinar on February 12 on the Astrology of Love and Relationships. Learn all about how your unique astrology describes what you (and a partner) are attracted to, how you communicate, and how you express desire and passion in a relationship. Aries

March 21–April 19

Aries Glyph

You’re on the go, Aries. With Mars, your ruling planet in the sign of Sagittarius for the first half of the month, you’re exploring, seeking out adventures, and making travel plans. It’s even possible that you’re planning a trip abroad or setting off on a long distance journey if you haven’t already. In a philosophical mood, you’re also trying to make sense of life and figuring out what you believe in. You’re feeling playful, too, especially around a fiery Leo Full Moon on February 9, one that highlights romance, creativity, and self expression. That said, February, for the most part, is Aquarius Season, and all this element air energy combined with the fire of Mars in Sagittarius means that you have a lot to say and express. This is great for spirited debates and showing off just what you know, but just be mindful that this can make for opinionated energy, especially when you’re with friends or out in the community. Aquarius is a sign that helps you get a new perspective, like you’re zooming out on life and connecting the dots. What is it that you’re noticing and seeing this month when you do? Is it possible that some of your beliefs or ways of thinking could use an update? Just remember to stay open to new horizons in February. Make plans with friends, ask them questions and compare their viewpoints against your own. Get involved with your community or volunteer for a social cause. Don’t forget that Saturn’s starting to come to the end of Capricorn and your career as well as your public life will continue to receive a lot of pressure from the planet of responsibility, commitment, and accountability in February and March. You still need to work hard towards your ambitions. You still need to figure out what you want to be when you grow up. (Doesn’t matter if you’re 25 or 65.) You still need to hold yourself accountable. When Mars arrives in Capricorn on February 16, you’re feeling this even more. Whatever you’ve been working on in your professional life, whatever moves you’ve been preparing for, Mars’s arrival means it’s time to take action. If you’ve been looking to switch careers or positions, what do you need to do to make that happen? If you need to go in a new direction, where do you want to go? You’ll likely be working hard as you go into March, so keep that in mind. Mars also activates eclipse energy from December and January, so there may be a few twists and turns later this month. By February 18 the Sun moves into Pisces and you begin a time of rest that’s meant for you to reflect on the year you’ve had and recharge for the next one. With Mercury also retrograde in Pisces, it’s a perfect time to revisit your spiritual life. Do you need to meditate more? Get in touch with your inner wisdom? The Pisces New Moon on February 23 highlights this for the rest of the month. And as you get ready for March, make sure you’re prioritizing your spiritual life as well as letting go of anything you don’t want to bring into your upcoming personal year. Taurus

April 20–May 20

Taurus Glyph

Taurus, this is the time of the year when you’re starting to reach the final leg of your personal calendar, which is to say that the planets are reaching through the last signs of your chart before starting a new cycle for your birthday. You, of course, still have a few months to go, but you may feel a need to reflect this month. What are your goals for 2020? What worked over the previous months and what didn’t? That said, February is about your career, direction, community, friendships, and spiritual life. You start the month with the Sun in Aquarius, the sign that represents the highest reaches of your chart. Therefore you’re aiming high, getting noticed, and you’re more visible than usual. Although the Aquarius New Moon occurred just before the start of the month, February is still a time of professional new beginnings. As a result, you may be making some career moves if you haven’t already. With the energy of this month pointing towards Capricorn, you may be thinking about taking classes, going back to school or getting professional training. It’s also a month to continue to ask yourself the bigger questions. What do you believe in? Do you still have faith? Do you need to see yourself and the world from a different perspective? On February 7, Venus moves into Aries and while the fire and motivation of Aries makes you ready to take action, do keep in mind that Aries is that sign that also pulls you behind the scenes. As much as you want to rush, you’re also having to slow down and rest. Aries is the sign that comes before Taurus and, in many ways, represents the end of the proverbial road for you. Then on February 9, a full moon lights up the part of your chart that speaks to home and family. You may have a decision to make about your living situation, anything from making a change in the home to packing up and moving. It’s also a time to get back to your roots and make sure the foundation of your life is solid so it can support all of your professional and worldly ambitions this month. The real news this month is Mars’s arrival in Capricorn on February 16. (Incidentally, the same day as Mercury turns retrograde.) Why is Mars in Capricorn important? Not only does it heat up these broader themes around faith, belief, and truth, themes that have been a major priority since the start of 2018, but Mars activates recent eclipse degrees. Think back to late December and the first couple of weeks of January. Anything of note? Events in late February may thread back to this time just a month or so ago. You may even see a few twists and turns later this month. That said, Mars is motivating you to travel, search, explore, and make education a priority. By February 18 the Sun moves into Pisces, kicking off a new season, one that helps you to connect with friends, community, and social causes. It also helps you to look towards the future and vision something better for yourself. A Pisces New Moon on February 23 puts you in a dreamy mood for the rest of the month. As you vision a new future for yourself, be open to the magic of something totally different coming in as well as any welcomed surprises. With Jupiter and Venus in aspect, you’re reveling in the richness and luxury of life as you round out another personal year. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Gemini

May 21–June 20

Gemini Glyph

Hey Gemini, still standing? You’ve possibly had to negotiate a lot of ups and downs since last year, if not the year before. You’ve searched your soul as well as yourself. You’ve done a lot of emotional heavy lifting. When will it end? The good news is that you’re starting to come to the end of this long chapter in your life. (For context, you’ll have to wait another thirty years to return to many of the lessons that you’re learning right now.) That said, you may feel some pressure in both February and March to crystalize a lot of the things you’ve learned emotionally since 2018. Whom do you trust? What fears have you had to face and conquer? How has your relationship with power, vulnerability, and intimacy changed? How has your relationship with yourself changed? And seeing how you’ve likely been through a lot, Aquarius Season is a time in your personal calendar to figure out what you still believe in — if anything. It’s also a time for you to travel, search, explore, and find meaning. Education and legal matters are in the spotlight, too. A full moon on February 9 may make for a busy week. You may have places to go and trips to plan or you’re looking to take a class. You may also receive important information about work or hear something from a friend. Do keep in mind that Mercury, your ruling planet, starts to slow down this month and turns retrograde on February 16. It will do so in Pisces, your sign of career, responsibility, and direction, which is to say that these things will not only be a major focus into March, but you may have to rework something in your professional life. Yes, you know the drill by now. Mercury Retrograde gives you (and all of us) a three week period to get a second opinion or try a different route. If you’re making a job change in February, make sure you have all the information. Similarly, it may take till later next month for you to get the answer you’re waiting for. Since Mercury is also your planet, you may also feel more sensitive and intuitive for the coming eight weeks. The other major point to make is that Mars switches signs this month. For the first half of February, it’s wrapping up its time in Sagittarius, your relationship sign. Mars isn’t exactly the most diplomatic here and it’s possible that your interactions with people since January 3 have been a bit pointed or defensive. If you’re in a relationship, have you and your partner had to deal with issues since January? They may come to a head in the middle of February. On the flip side, Mars makes you more motivated than usual to make connection and reach out to people. That said, on February 16, Mars arrives in Capricorn, a sign that it has a lot of strength in and it’s bringing to the surface a lot of the deep emotional work you’ve been doing, especially around the eclipse of December and January. Use Mars in Capricorn to tend to your emotional needs and your emotional health. Work with a counselor, therapist, or guide if there’s still something that you’ve been having a hard time dealing with. By February 18 the Sun arrives in Pisces and you kick off a season dedicated to focusing on your professional goals and ambitions. Again, Mercury is retrograde, so you’re having to approach things from another direction. A new moon on February 23, however, is a personal reset for your career. The coming four weeks may bring a new job, a change in position, or a need to recalibrate professionally. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Truth, faith, meaning, beliefs, knowledge, wisdom, worldview, philosophy, education, foreign travel, long distance journeys, legal matters, information, ideas, learning, communication, speaking, listening, classes, study, career, direction, status, ambition, public life, professional life, retracing steps, job change, work, relationships, other people, one-on-one connection, socialization, negotiation, the psyche, the deep self, deep emotions, vulnerability, intimacy, facing fears, transformation, power, money, finance, wealth, debt.

Cancer

June 21–July 22

Cancer Glyph

Let’s take a step back for a moment and look at how February is part of a story that’s been unfolding for a while. Maybe you heard me talk in some of my video content or read in a previous horoscope that some of the things going on in your life right now, namely in the relationship department, have their roots in 2008. That was the year that Pluto, the planet of total transformation, arrived in your relationship sign of Capricorn and signaled that how you connect, interact, socialize, and do partnership has to completely change. Here we are at the start of 2020 and we’ve had a couple of other astrological influences pushing relationships to the forefront. Again, same message. How you connect, interact, socialize, and do partnership has to completely change. Now it’s more of an imperative. If December and January brought events or a few twists and turns in this department, you may find that February heats things up again. But, first, it’s Aquarius Season, the time in your personal calendar when you focus on your emotional health and explore all the different layers of your psyche. It’s also a time when you’re feeling vulnerable, sensitive, or creating more intimacy in your life. A full moon on February 9 asks you, what do you need in order to feel safe and secure? To trust? After all the ups and downs you’ve likely been through, how do you get your feet back on solid ground? The full moon also highlights themes around money and income. You may have to make a decision about how to earn a living, what you value, and what to spend your money on. It’s also a time to get clear about your material needs. That said, relationships continue to be a major focus this month. Some of your full moon questioning around value may also tie into a question about a relationship or connection. As Venus squares the lunar nodes on February 13, you may have to make a shift in a relationship or deal with a theme that has deep roots in the past (maybe even other lives). When Mars arrives in Capricorn on February 16, a relationship will need your full attention for the rest of the month as well as into March. If something came up between you and a partner back in December or January, Mars will bring it up again. And, as a result, you’ll need to take action with something. You may decide to separate. Or you may decide to recommit. Regardless, Mars is all action and whatever decisions you’ve made previously need your follow through. A caveat though. Mercury turns retrograde on February 16. While life doesn’t need to come to a standstill, whatever decisions you do make need thoughtful planning and a second look. Are you seeing things clearly? Do you need a new perspective on something between you and a partner. On the flip side, if you are single and looking to get into a relationship, Mars sets in motion whatever groundwork you’ve laid in 2019. Then on February 18, the Sun arrives in Pisces, shifting focus a little towards travel, exploration, and education. You may be planning a big trip or packing your bags for a far flung destination, especially on or around the Pisces New Moon on February 23. Since education is also a focus with this new moon, you may be thinking about going back to school, taking more classes, or educating yourself about the world in general. It’s also a time for you to figure out what you believe in as the new moon highlights faith, truth, and meaning. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Relationships, other people, partnership, connection, socialization, negotiation, compromise, intimacy, vulnerability, sexuality, secrets, sharing, power, the psyche, the deep self, facing fears, rebirth, transformation, deep emotions, emotional connection, trust, security, stability, material needs, money, income, resources, finance, work, projects, health, wellness, diet, fitness, nutrition, taking care of the body.

Leo

July 23–August 22

Leo Glyph

Leo, what’s the role of relationship in your life? How do you interact, partner, and show up? Aquarius Season is naturally a time in your personal calendar when the Sun leads you towards relationship and, as a result, this month you may be meeting new people, reconnecting with existing relationships, and having to reevaluate those that need work. Keep in mind the bit about reevaluation. After Saturn, your relationship planet, making some heavy duty moves in January, you may be still doing some serious work on your partnerships and any power imbalances in particular. Venus, your career planet, changes signs on February 7, arriving in Aries. It’s a time for new beginnings, initiatives, study, and even travel for your job. You’re in the spotlight on February 9 courtesy of a Leo Full Moon. It’s a month to get noticed and take action, especially if you’re looking for a new relationship and connection or getting some professional attention. With Mars still in Sagittarius the first half of February, it’s an opportunity to play, have fun, create, and have a little romance. All this energy may make for a dynamic first half of the month. But, on February 16, Mars moves into Capricorn, and instead the focus to work, projects, and the practical details of life. Remember in previous horoscopes how I’ve been saying that you’ve been in a longer period of time where you’ve been making changes in how you take care of your body, taking your health seriously, and getting organized? Well, Mars makes this a major priority in the second half of the month, motivating you to take action on all the changes you laid the groundwork for but maybe haven’t fully initiated. Mars also activates recent eclipse energies, bringing events of December and January forward. If you had any major New Year’s Resolutions, now’s the time to make them a reality. Additionally, Mars will likely make for a busy second half of the month, one where you may be working hard on a project. There may even be a tendency for overwork, so make sure you’re finding the right balance. Let’s not forget Mercury Retrograde this month. Whatever relationship themes you’re navigating in February will need to be returned to in March. When the Mercury turns retrograde February 16, it does so in Pisces, your sign intimacy, vulnerability, and trust. Are you and a partner on the same page? Is there something deep, private, or even revealing that you need to discuss with someone? Use the retrograde positively to open up to a trusted confidant or intimate partner. Clear the air of any secrets or past resentments. Set healthy boundaries and expectations. Then on February 18 the Sun arrives in Pisces, signaling that you’ll need to make your emotional health a priority in the last week of February. The Pisces New Moon on February 23 opens a new lunar month, one that takes you into the deepest parts of yourself. As a result, you may spend the last days of the month feeling sensitive, like you want to pull away from the world to meditate and reflect. Your intuition may get stronger, too. That said, thankfully you have Mars making sure you have your feet on the ground and focused on your responsibilities.

Key Themes: Relationships, other people, partnerships, socialization, connection, negotiation, compromise, creativity, self expression, confidence, fun, play, talent, power dynamics, intimacy, vulnerability, trust, sexuality, secrets, money, finance, wealth, debt, work, projects, health, wellness, diet, fitness, nutrition, organization, cleaning out, the spotlight, recognition, creative projects.

Virgo

August 23–September 22

Virgo Glyph

Does something feel a little familiar about Aquarius Season? Did you know that it’s your season to focus on work, projects, and health, Virgo’s usual territory? Yes, Aquarius has a natural affinity with Virgo, a sign that gives you a sharp mind as well as an ability to analyze. So, over the first few weeks of February, you’re getting your real life in order. This may mean starting a project — especially a creative project — and making health, fitness, and nutrition a priority. Since we’re not that far from the start of the New Year, you may even want to revisit your healthy resolutions and goals for 2020. But health isn’t just physical; it’s emotional and spiritual too. A full moon on February 9 puts your spiritual life in the spotlight. As a result, you may be thinking of going on retreat, doing some soul searching, and looking deep within for answers. It’s also a full moon to let go, especially an addiction or anything else you have an unhealthy connection with. That said, Mercury, your ruling planet, slows down this month and turns retrograde on February 16. Yes, it’s time for another Mercury Retrograde; you know the drill. So, as you work on yourself this month, Mercury is giving you an opportunity to rewind, look at something from a different perspective, and try a different approach. It’s also turning retrograde in Pisces, your relationship sign. A couple of things may happen. One, an old flame or lover resurfaces. Often the retrograde gives us a chance to tie up loose ends and heal something from the past. Two, with Mercury in Pisces all month long, you’re naturally focused on relationship in February. If you’re single and do get into a relationship, the retrograde may show you a repeated theme from the past or something about the relationship may feel familiar, like there’s a past life connection. Three, if there’s an issue that comes up between you and a partner, it may take until the end of March to resolve, which is when Mercury leaves its retrograde phase. Nevertheless, since Mercury is your planet, it’s more about other people this month than it is about you and it’s more about having to negotiate and compromise than to get your own way. Additionally, Mars changes signs this month. After heating things up with home and family since January, motivating you to make changes in the home or even move, Mars arrives in Capricorn on February 16. Here’s the thing. If you think back — and I’ve mentioned this in previous horoscopes — Capricorn’s an area of your chart that’s been getting a lot of work and attention for the past couple of years, if not longer. For you, that sign speaks to how you express who you are, your identity, persona, talent, creativity. And you’ve been breaking down old barriers in the past few months, anything that’s been holding you back from expressing the real you. When Mars arrives in Capricorn, it ignites all this personal work and transformation you’ve been doing. You may feel more confident, stronger, or motivated to do something with your creative abilities. It’s also a good time to plant some seeds because once Saturn moves into Aquarius starting March 21, you’ll be bringing these seeds to fruition. (This is also a time that may speak to pregnancy if this is relevant for you, so some of those seeds may be literal.) On February 18 the Sun moves into Pisces, kicking off a new season and bringing renewed attention to the relationships of your life, especially after the Pisces New Moon on February 23. In fact, if you’re single, the coming four weeks after the new moon may bring a serious romance or a powerful new relationship in your life. And, don’t forget, Mercury turns direct on March 9. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Relationships, other people, one-on-one connection, negotiation, compromise, socialization, past relationships, karmic relationships, unfinished relationships, serious romance, talents, creativity, self expression, persona, identity, children, creative projects, health, wellness, diet, fitness, nutrition, organization, tasks, schedule, spirituality, spiritual health, breaking addictions, letting go, shedding the past, retreat, rest, reflection.

Libra

September 23–October 22

Libra Glyph

After a heavy month or two, it’s a welcome relief to be in Aquarius Season, a season that invites you to have fun as well as cultivate passion and joy in your life. It’s also a season when you need to prioritize your talents and expressing who you are. When Venus, your ruling planet, arrives in Aries on February 7, you’re also focusing on relationships this month. Yes, Aries is your relationship sign and, over the next few weeks, you’re naturally reaching out to others, connecting, and socializing. With Venus pointing over to Mars in Sagittarius, you may find that life gets a little busy in the second week of February. You’re going on trips with people, especially a partner. You’re getting into intellectual or philosophical conversations. You have ideas to exchange. A Leo Full Moon on February 9 puts the spotlight on friendships and, as a result, you’re spending a lot of time with people this month or reaching out to your community. You may be getting involved with group activities, too. The full moon also invites you to look ahead and envision the future you want to create in 2020 and beyond. That said, things may not feel so light and breezy when Venus joins up with Chiron square the Lunar Nodes on February 13. Pay attention to any old relationship issues that come up. They may have deep roots and reflect something that needs continued healing and resolution in your life. You may even feel like you’re working on something that feels deeply karmic. Then on February 16, Mars arrives in Capricorn and you return to a part of your life that’s been a major theme since the beginning of 2018 — home, family, and putting down roots. Mars is all action. It ignites and motivates you to make things happen. If you’ve had plans to move or make a change in your home, especially since December’s eclipses, then Mars is the spark. Mars is also a bit of a noisy addition to Capricorn and it may mean that your living environment has a lot going on in February as well as March — renovations, projects, excavations, remodeling, and even packing or unpacking boxes. As Mars makes things happen in the second half of February, keep in mind that it’s part of a bigger story, one that has asked you to answer a simple question — where is home? Mercury also turns retrograde on February 16, so as much as you may want to rush forward with things, you may also need to do your due diligence, especially if you’re working on a project this month. Mercury Retrograde also may make health a priority this month, helping you to return to a previous health issue to find new perspective or even answers. When the Sun arrives in Pisces on February 18, health and wellness will be even more of a priority as you round out the month, especially after the Pisces New Moon on February 23. Make sure you’re tending to your emotional health, too. The new moon is a perfect time to revisit any healthy resolutions you made at the start of the new year and tend to them as you step into March. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Relationships, other people, connection, socialization, interaction, conversations, communication, writing, speaking, learning, classes, ideas, exchange, travel, compromise, negotiation, other people, friends, community, groups, allies, looking ahead, the future, hopes, dreams, creativity, self expression, talent, identity, persona, children, home, family, living situation, family responsibilities, roots, foundation, the past, ancestors, memories, emotional core, health, wellness, diet, fitness, nutrition, projects, work, organization.

Scorpio

October 23–November 21

Scorpio Glyph

Scorpio, this is the time in your personal calendar when you pull back from the world to nest and focus on home. You’re naturally spending time with family or people in your inner circle who are like family. (Yes, Scorpio, only a trusted few are allowed into your inner life.) Maybe you’re even using Aquarius Season to make or plan a move or revamp your home. The full moon on February 9, however, puts the spotlight on career, ambition, and status. It’s a full moon to get recognized or step into the public eye. If you’re looking to make a job change or secure a new position, you may hear something around this time, too. The full moon’s supportive angle to Mars, your ruling planet, you may also hear about a new financial opportunity or a way to increase your income. That said, life’s a little subdued in February, at least for the first half of the month. With Mars in Sagittarius until February 16, money, income, and material stability continue to be a major focus. It’s about the practicalities of life and making sure you have the basics covered — food, shelter, and resources. After being motivated to take action with your material life, Mars changes signs on February 16, moving into Capricorn. It’s time for business, Scorpio. Capricorn is both a strong placement for Mars as well as a super serious sign for it to be in until March 30. It’s also your sign of communication, learning, voice, and choices. Think back to eclipse season, especially the days and weeks around the solar eclipse on December 26. What was going on? It’s likely that Mars will activate events from that time, bringing in a new chapter to things that began at the start of the year. Since this is a time when Scorpio has to take its voice seriously, make sure you’re speaking up and being heard. Weigh your words as well as your choices carefully. The last two weeks of February may also be a busy time, with many things to do and attend to. Travel may also be a focus, from trips out of town to trips around the neighborhood. Don’t forget, Mercury also turns retrograde on February 16, another reason to choose your words and decisions carefully. Since Mercury will turn around in Pisces, your sign of creativity, romance, and self expression, it’s possible that an old flame or even a friend may resurface, giving you an opportunity to tie up loose ends and get a different perspective. Then on February 18, the Sun arrives in Pisces, again a sign that invites you to be yourself, create, and enjoy life. If you are focusing on creative endeavors, especially after the new moon on February 23, do keep in mind that with Jupiter in Capricorn, the last days of the month are a reminder to take your talents seriously and to share them, especially if these talents involve the voice. And don’t forget to be yourself. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Money, income, material stability, material security, resources, spending, what you own, home, family, roots, foundation, changes in the home, emotional needs, inner world, inner circle, career, professional life, ambition, recognition, status, job change, self expression, creativity, identity, persona, talent, romance, fun, leisure, communication, voice, writing, thinking, learning, speaking, ideas, information, class, school, trips, travel, neighborhood, choices.

Sagittarius

November 22–December 21

Sagittarius Glyph

It’s hustle time, Sagittarius. Not only is Mars still in Sagittarius for the first half of the month, giving you a boost of confidence and drive, but Jupiter, your ruling planet, is in Capricorn, pushing you to get your material life in order — no slacking off. It’s certainly a time for new financial opportunities, but Saturn has been a heavy influence in your money sign since the start of January 2018. Here’s the thing to keep in mind. Saturn, as you may or may not know, is a planet that works in larger stretches of time. It can spend anywhere from two and a half to three years in a sign. And in February, Saturn is preparing to wrap up its long stay in Capricorn, pushing you to learn some valuable lessons about what you need financially, how to earn a living, and what you’re really worth. Think of the last two years as a time of restructuring, rebuilding, and reorganizing. Now here’s the hard part (or easy?). How will these new structures support you in the future? If you have a deeper sense of your own worth and the worth of the world around you, how does that change or even transform your relationship with money? Keep this in mind as Mars trades Sagittarius for Capricorn on February 16, igniting all this work that you’ve been doing with money and resource. (And igniting the powerful energies of Saturn, Pluto, and recent eclipses.) It’s time to turn a financial corner. At the very least you’re very motivated in the second half of February to gather the resources you need. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but February is Aquarius Season and Aquarius is your sign of communication, education, and travel. It’s a season to explore, try out new ideas, take a class, and have your voice heard. It’s also a time to stand up for your convictions and share what you believe in, especially around the full moon on February 9. If Aquarius speaks to the information that you’ve learned, then the Leo Full Moon is about wisdom — the wisdom to know what is right and wrong, the wisdom that comes from having explored the world, the wisdom that informs your truth. In other news, Venus changes signs on February 7, arriving in Aries, the sign that helps you be yourself, share who you are, create, and be in the romance of life. February could bring a love affair, but do keep in mind that Mercury turns retrograde on February 16. While that shouldn’t stop you from living your life, it’s important to note that Mercury is your relationship planet and its retrograde from February 16 to March 9 may bring up an old issue to rework or even the return of an ex. Retrogrades are about revisiting past choices and experiences in order to get a different perspective and resolve anything that needs attention. Mercury also turns retrograde in Pisces, your sign of home and family. So, some of these loose ends that need revisiting may have to do early life, your parents, or even the home that you live in. Pisces Season begins on February 18 and a Pisces New Moon on February 23 kicks things off by bringing in a new story, one focused on forgiveness, letting go, and compassion. If there are any stubborn family issues that need Pisces’s healing energies, the rest of February as well as March brings you a new opportunity to let go. Again, do remember your self worth. You’ve worked too hard in the past couple of years to rediscover it. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Capricorn

December 22–January 19

Capricorn Glyph

Still hanging in there, Capricorn? I know it’s possibly been a tough start to the year, what with a few heavy duty planetary lineups in Capricorn in December and January. Mars is still hanging out in Sagittarius, too, which means that the first half of the month is perfect for continued meditation, retreat, and letting go of emotional and spiritual baggage. If you’re feeling low energy, it’s okay. Rest. Mars in this part of your chart is a reminder that there’s a time for everything, even when it feels like you’re in power down mode. That said, it’s Aquarius Season, your season to take a look at your material life, from finances and income to resource and what you own. Since Aquarius Season points back towards Saturn in Capricorn, it’s a time for you to do what you need to do to take action, change habits, transform what you value, and take a serious look at what you need versus what you don’t need. Speaking of slowing down, Venus arrives in Aries on February 7, the sign that forms the foundation of your chart. You may be feeling a pull to spend more time at home in February, creating beauty where you live or even entertaining at home. That said, a Leo Full Moon on February 9 puts the deepest parts of yourself in the spotlight. It’s a full moon to examine your fears, vulnerabilities, and anything else bubbling up from your psyche. If something does come up emotionally, how will you have the courage to let it go? Since money and ownership is also a part of this month’s experiences, the full moon may be a time to take action or make a decision about something you own, the money you make, and the wealth (or debts) that you have. Mercury turns retrograde on February 16 and while it’s nothing to be overly concerned about, it is a reminder to take consciousness of how you’re communicating, thinking, and choosing. Do you need a new perspective? Or a different approach? Also on February 16, Mars leaves Sagittarius for Capricorn, animating your sign after a quiet six weeks behind the scenes. It’s a rush of vitality. It’s a feeling of new beginnings and new initiatives. Mars also gives Capricorn a commanding hand. So, if you’ve been busy dismantling, rebuilding, and reshaping things over the past few months, Mars in Capricorn means it’s time to set things in motion. Do keep in mind that Mars activates recent eclipse energies and life may be a little twisty-turny (is that a word?) the last couple of weeks of February. With Venus on the Lunar Nodes on February 13, you may be at a turning point too as you decide what direction you want to go and if you need to change up your priorities. By February 18 the Sun arrives in Pisces, shifting gears slightly and highlighting themes around learning, communication, and travel. The new moon on February 23 in particular may hint that you have something to say and a point of view to convey. You may also be looking to take classes or workshops or go on a trip or two. Additionally, with Jupiter in Capricorn, you may feel like you’re ready to share your story or teach from your experiences as you step into March. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you? Aquarius

January 20–February 18

Aquarius Glyph

Happy birthday, Aquarius! Here’s to a year of new beginnings. Although you’re not quite there yet, you are on the cusp of a new time in your life. If you recall previous horoscopes, I’ve been talking about how you’ve been in a two year phase that’s marked the end of a great personal cycle. See, you’re a sign that’s ruled by Saturn. And if we follow Saturn and its movements along the wheel of your chart, we’ll see that Saturn doesn’t move very quickly, instead it spends two and a half to three years in each zodiac sign. It’s as if the big hand on your personal clock has been pointing to some of the very last degrees of a story that began nearly thirty years ago. (If you’re older than thirty, it may be worthwhile reflecting back on life circa 1991-1993, search for threads of time woven into your current life.) So, as you celebrate another birthday and look ahead to the coming year, you may feel like one foot is stepping into something new while the other is still caught in the past. Here’s my birthday advice for you. Be very mindful of February and March. Not in an anxious way, of course, but in a way that allows you to finally release what you don’t want to bring into the next thirty years of your life. Think of it this way. You’ve got your bags packed and ready to move into the next big chapter. Is there anything in these bags that you definitely do not want to bring with you? Because once it comes with you it’s harder to let it go. Anyway, food for thought. That said, you’re celebrating a new personal year. (For those who had a birthday on or near January 24, the coming months will be a time of major new beginnings.) The Leo Full Moon on February 9 also puts the spotlight on relationships. As a result, you may need to make a decision about a partnership or you’re feeling a push to connect, socialize, and interact with others, especially friends and allies. It’s also a good time to network for business, making time for professional events and career development. Keep in mind that Mercury turns retrograde on February 16. Again, nothing to get anxious about, but it does need some common sense. Try to hold off on making any big decisions because it’s possible that you don’t have all the information and won’t until the end of March. Mercury turns retrograde in Pisces, your sign of money, resource, and spending, so try to put on hold any big financial decisions, too. At the root of this retrograde is a need to get a second look at what you value. Maybe there’s usually an impulse to spend money on something that during the retrograde you realize is not worth it. Also on February 16, Mars arrives in Capricorn, bringing you back to this two year story of winding down a much larger chapter of your life. If you feel a little low on energy in the second half of February and into March, don’t be surprised. It’s also a time to go deeper into this spiritual and soul work you’ve been doing since 2018. Use Mars to go on retreat, rest, search within for answers, dream, and shed the layers of the past. You’re on the threshold of a new life that starts to come into focus on March 21. That said, when the Sun arrives in Pisces on February 18, you may feel pulled between two worlds — the world of the mystic and the real world of paying bills and making sure you have food, water, and shelter. The new moon on February 23 is a time to take a renewed look at what you value, how you earn a living, and your material needs. With so much emphasis on the spiritual corners of your chart, just make sure that your material needs are in harmony with your spiritual needs this month. Pisces

February 19–March 20

Pisces Glyph

You could say that Aquarius Season is giving you a preview of the next couple of years, a sign that takes you deeper into spirituality and into the hidden realms that you intuitively know so well, Pisces. See, in the weeks before your birthday, when the Sun is in Aquarius, it’s a natural time for you to pull back from the world. After all, you’re coming to the end of your journey throughout the twelve zodiac signs. What have you learned since this time last year? What do you want to let go of so it doesn’t come with you into your next personal year? Enter Saturn. Although it’s still in Capricorn, Saturn will arrive in Aquarius on March 21 and begin a three month preview of 2021-2023. So, as you move through Aquarius Season, take notes. How do you feel? What themes are bubbling up? Do you feel a pull to explore your dreams, your unconscious, your spirituality? Do you want to go on a journey? That said, this is also a natural season to rest and recharge. That said, with Mercury in Pisces in February, rest may be the last thing you want as Mercury wants to move, explore, and try many different things. You may be more chatty and talking than usual, too. On February 9, a full moon puts the spotlight on your sign of work, health, and projects. As a result, you may feel like you’re having to focus on your physical life as much as your spiritual life this month. The full moon may motivate you to go for a walk or the gym, make an appointment for a wellness checkup, or even take a serious effort to break old patterns or addictions. You may be focused on a project for work, too. When Mercury turns retrograde on February 16, it may complicate things in relationships and on the home front. While Mercury Retrograde isn’t anything to get anxious over, it does mean that you just have to do your due diligence this month. If an old relationship issue comes up, how will you see things from a different perspective or make new choices? But the big news is Mars’s arrival in Capricorn on February 16. Not only is Mars joining up with the likes of Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter (your ruling planet), but it activates recent eclipse degrees. It may be that February as well as March brings a bump of eclipse energy. For you, this part of your chart speaks to friendship, community, and social connection. In fact, you’re in a year long period, until December 2020, when much of life is focused on these themes. So as Mars stirs things up, you may be spending more time with friends, having to negotiate difference social networks or even competition within a group that you belong do. It’s also a time to get really motivated about making new friends and getting involved with different social circles. If you need to weed out some old friendships, you may find that Mars is definitely pushing you to set new boundaries and say no to the people that are no longer supporting you. By February 18 the Sun arrives in Pisces and you kick off your season! A Pisces New Moon on February 23 begins the new year for you and if you’re born on or within a few days of the new moon, the coming months will be a time of new beginnings. Having said that, your birthday season may be very busy socially as you spend time with friends and prepare for the coming new year. Want a deeper look at how January will affect you?
