The Moon leaves Virgo for Libra and we arrive in the dark of the moon. It’s the last few days of the lunar month, a time to pull inward, reflect, intuit, and prepare for a new chapter. What have you learned about relationship, connection since the October 16 new moon?
Mercury changes signs, moving from the air of Libra to the water of Scorpio. Mercury finds power and drive in Scorpio, a Mars ruled sign. It can be obsessive in its search for ideas, information, and even secrets. It can also be blunt truths that cut through illusions.
This week Mercury returns to Scorpio, a sharp lens for the planet of communication and ideas. We’re also wrapping up the lunar month and preparing for a Scorpio New Moon on November 15, just after Mars finally turns direct in Aries.
We start the week with a practical Virgo Moon, one that wants to get things checked off the to-do list. With Mercury still in contact with Saturn, there’s more pressure to set limits and boundaries, put things into order, and create more fairness and equity.
Mercury makes the last of its squares to Saturn. We have serious decisions to make. We have to chose our words wisely. We have to put things back into order and balance. A Cancer Moon also makes things tense as we round out the week.
Moon in Cancer day, one that picks up on the watery energy of Scorpio Season. Emotions run high. We’re feeling sensitive, nostalgic, and crave comfort and familiarity. We may also feel impassioned about matters of faith, conviction, and integrity.
The Moon straddles Gemini and Cancer today, two very different signs. While Gemini is restless in its pursuit of information and ideas, Cancer wants us to slow down and find comfort, care, and connection. With Mercury Direct, things are a little wonky, too.
Mercury turns direct after a three week retrograde spanning the signs of Scorpio and Libra. We’ve had to reinvestigate, research, and reevaluate. With Mercury pivoting in aspect to Saturn, there are serious choices to weigh that may impact our future.
