Over the next couple of days Mercury is going to do one of two things. First, it will get to the degree it occupied at the time of the solar eclipse on September 1. Second, Mercury will finally arrive at 29 Virgo, the very place it pivoted when it turned retrograde on August 30.
Astrology teaches us a lot of things, but one of the important lessons it reveals is that time is interconnected. Like an unfolding narrative, Mercury’s revisit of the last few degrees of Virgo means that something that began in late August, early September is now coming up to the next chapter. Maybe it’s this week that we’ll really get clarity on what the solar eclipse was all about.
Mercury spent a long time in Virgo — ten weeks! During this time I’ve noticed that people have struggled with health challenges. I think Mercury has also really placed an emphasis on creating more order and structure in our lives. It’s not a bad idea to clean out the closest, the cabinets, the fridge over the next couple of days. Maybe even go to the gym, too. Virgo wants nothing less than purity and perfection.
