The Moon moves into Aquarius and we turn our attention to the future. It’s a day to plan ahead, envision the future, and come up with big ideas. Aquarius is also about community. Do we feel like we belong to something or do we need to find connection?

The Aquarius Moon is also a reminder that Mars is still in Aquarius. I know, it feels like forever that Mars has been in Aquarius. It’s been the better part of five months and Mars won’t leave for Pisces until November 15 so we’ve got another month to go.

Here’s the thing. Mars, not known for its diplomacy or tact, has been a bit opinionated in Aquarius. On the low end of things, Mars has made for a lot of pointed conversations and heated political exchanges. But Mars in Aquarius can be helpful. It motivates us to prioritize friendship and social connection. It’s mindful of justice, equity, and anything that concerns humanity as a whole.

Note that the South Node of the Moon has been in Aquarius since early 2017. If things have seemed a bit fractious in general, it’s because the South Node pushes us to express and take consciousness of our collective karma. Will we ever find unity? The North Node is still in Leo as well, the opposing sign of Aquarius. If we’re going to move forward, we need to reconnect with our creativity and joy. We need to celebrate what makes us different instead of rejecting it. Come November the nodes will slip into Cancer/Capricorn and we’ll need to get back in touch with what nurtures and feeds us. It’s an imperative.

PS — I’m honored to be co-teaching again at the Collective Universal Reality Integrative Workshop here in Manhattan. You’ll be learning about your energy body — your chakras, your subtle bodies — and what it’s all connected to in this universe. By learning and using practical energetic tools, you’ll discover how you can use your energy body to help humanity.
