Happy Monday! We’re in the last few days of Taurus season, a time when we look to nature, fruit, sensuality, and the bounty of life.
Of course Taurus encompasses other expressions — loyalty, value, the things we own — but we need to understand its place within the 12 zodiac signs. If Aries is the spark of life, then Taurus, the following sign, shows how that spark is impregnated into the fertile earth. The next sign, Gemini, which we’ll enter on Friday, is the power to choose how we’ll use the resources and values of Taurus.
I also wanted to touch on the power of asking ourselves questions. Maybe you’ve noticed that I’ll often pose questions in my daily updates or lunar reports. I’ve gotten some pushback on this recently, but I wanted to explain why questions are important.
Astrology is an expression of archetypes. There is a range of experience within each sign that will express itself according to your life, your consciousness, your natal chart, and your karma. Your experience of a Venus transit or a Pluto transit or a full moon will be different from person to person, but there will be a common thread.
Don’t take these questions as a lack of direction or authority on my part. In fact, I can’t be an authority on your life; you’re the only one living it. And it’s my hope that you will ask yourself these questions, mediate on them, and see how they provoke you.
Empowering Astrology is astrology + consciousness. The heavens maybe telling us what time it is, but it is up to us to decide how to live the hour.
Thank you for this honest and refreshing response. Sometimes it seems people want the “google search box” answer to everything.
How about we practice walking the long, enduring, but ultimately blissful path of actually living life, self-awareness and making course corrections along the way, rather than relying on those outside of us to light our way all the time?
The hour is indeed ours. We have everything we need if we can manage to create some space to see.
