Welcome to May! We kick off the month with a Moon in Sagittarius inviting us all to explore, travel, and look at the philosophical side of life. But we’re still sorting through the April 29 Scorpio Full Moon, one that pushed us to take a hard look at ourselves.
I should also point out that Uranus is at 29 Aries, the final degree of Aries. When a planet reaches the last degree of a sign, it has a Saturn-like moment when it has to prove what it’s learned. It has to consolidate, take consciousness of its experiences, and even get feedback in the form of a cosmic report card.
Uranus in Aries has been seven years of awakening the self. It’s been a powerful time of individuation and revolution — almost to a fault as our world has become increasingly polarized and chaotic. But if you look back on your life over the last seven years, there’s some place that has undergone a complete makeover.
We’re two weeks away from Uranus leaving Aries for Taurus, a seismic shift that will shake up our relationship with money, value, playing it safe, and even food. Uranus in Taurus will awaken our relationship with the element earth as well as our relationship with the earth. More on this in my monthly horoscopes, which will post soon. (They are a little late. Je suis desolée.) The time in between is a wrap up of everything we’ve learned while Uranus was in Aries as well as a preparation for a powerful new chapter in life.
PS — I’m a guest speaker at an event in Manhattan on Sunday, May 6 on astrology and energetics. I’ll be also giving a preview of Uranus in Taurus. Details here.

Seven years? For me, I’m pretty sure the lessons were about money and security, feeling secure. So many lessons. Major epiphany in the past 24 hours, though, about how security comes from within, not from external things or people; how losing all of the externals that once gave me that sense of security hasn’t been “terrible”, it’s been necessary; and how to heal the old beliefs and write over them with the new beliefs about my own ability to make myself feel more secure than I ever did.
If the final exams are the things that have recently come up, then… I might just ace the class.
