The Sun comes up to a square to Uranus in Taurus today, an aspect that’s been known to be restless, electric, and even impulsive. We can’t hold back anymore. We can’t make ourselves small any longer. We need to open up to a higher version of ourselves.
I thought about Sun square Uranus when I was lying in bed last night, unable to sleep. Uranus energy feels like a force of change, a force of revolution. It agitates. Old boundaries or patterns suddenly feel uncomfortable, as if they don’t fit anymore. Uranus also feels like lightening, like a flash of awareness, the ah-ha moment that alters our perspective.
Be open to new perspective today. If you’re feeling restless or even agitated, know that there’s something that’s going on astrologically that’s pointing towards a part of our lives that can’t remain the same anymore. It’s not about the old anymore with Uranus. It’s about the new. (If you want to know what area of your life Uranus is transforming over the coming years, read my Uranus in Taurus: Sign by Sign guide.)
As an aside, I know that I’m generally pretty chill when it comes to Mercury Retrograde (it was suggested by someone on my FaceBook Live last week that I had mastered the retrograde chill), but this one seems to be extra shenanigan-y. Miscommunication. Change in plans. I even overslept this morning. Thankfully Mercury turns direct on Wednesday, July 31, but it will do so in opposition to Pluto in Capricorn. We may be saying things that we have previously held back or buried. We’re becoming aware of just how powerful our thoughts and emotions are.
Speaking of Facebook Live, I’m doing a weekly Live check-in at 6 pm EDT today. I’ll be giving you all a sneak peak on August’s astrology and the Leo New Moon as well as explaining more about Uranus in Taurus and today’s square between the Sun and Uranus. I’ll be also reposting the video to my Empowering Astrology YouTube channel.
Don’t forget, I’m teaching a webinar on Saturday, August 3 on How to Read Your Astrology Chart, a 90-minute crash course for beginners and intermediate students on what an astrology chart is, the important fundamentals, and why the birth chart is one of the most important documents that you have access to. Details and registration here. You can still register to receive the video replay even if you can’t make the live webinar.
