The Capricorn Moon meets up with the South Node of the Moon and we start the week feeling the weight of time and responsibility. As a sign, Capricorn can feel like a reality check. And since we’re dealing with the South Node, we may have to leave something behind.
It’s important to keep in mind that, over the coming 18 months, the South Node of the Moon is in Capricorn and the North Node is in Cancer. The North Node is like due north on our soul’s compass. It’s the direction we need to head towards. There’s a level of fate and destiny to the nodes, a feeling that we can’t stay stuck in the past. We must move forward into the unknown.
With the Moon in Capricorn today, it’s a gentle reminder that Capricorn represents old territory. While it’s a sign that teaches us to have boundaries and a healthy relationship with work and ambition, it’s possible that we’ve gotten caught up in the negative aspects of Capricorn. We’ve become overworked, over burdened duty and responsibility. We’ve become a little cold, a little reserved, too.
So, what do we do? We move towards the sign of Cancer because it’s our north point. We reach for its gentleness, its care, its softness. If we’ve become overworked, we need to get back in touch with what really matters and what nourishes us on a deep level. The North Node in Cancer is the return home. Over the coming year it’s going to be an imperative that we find home again.
