How deep is your faith? How far will you travel to find your truth? Life may feel a bit serious as Saturn prepares to turn direct tomorrow in Sagittarius. Culminating a two year meditation on philosophy and how we see the world, we can no longer be neutral.
Saturn is a very black and white planet. Meaning, it teaches us about boundaries, limits, and commitment. When we come up against the energy of Saturn we have to make a decision. It’s either a left or a right, a yes or a no. And Saturn will test the wherewithal of our decision. Is a left or a right enough to sustain us for the long haul? Are we being realistic about what is needed to go the distance?
Saturn is also the planet of time, those slow arcs that take us through life’s bigger narrative of growing up, building place for ourselves in the world, and having a family. Wherever Saturn is by sign is a place where we’re spending a lot of time maturing and mastering the lessons of that sign.
Since 2015 Saturn has been in the sign of Sagittarius — the sign of faith, philosophy, wisdom, travel, education, religion, and media. Sagittarius helps us see the world literally and metaphorically. As a result, you may believe in something quite different than you did two years ago. Or, you’ve worked hard to carve out what you believe in or what you know to be true.
With Saturn coming to the end of its journey in Sagittarius — it will arrive in Capricorn on December 19 — the next few months will really put in place all that we’ve learned since the start of 2015.
