The Moon is in Sagittarius today, touching on themes of exploration, education, philosophy, and faith. As the sign of truth, Sagittarius pushes us to the far limits of our mind as well as the earth in search of it. What do you believe in?
This is a question that has gotten a lot of traction over the last couple of years. After all, Saturn has been in Sagittarius since September 2015 and since then we’ve had to take a serious look at how we see the world. Saturn is the builder, the master craftsman, the planet of authority. It’s been testing our faith, testing the structures of what we believe in. We’ve been on a quest to understand ourselves more deeply and understand our world.
Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius, has been dancing back and forth with a square to Pluto in Capricorn. If you’ve been through a Pluto transit, you know they are hella intense. Something has to fundamentally transform in your life by looking at the shadow side. If you are Sagittarius or a Pisces, 2017 has probably had a few gut punches for you as Jupiter touches on Pluto’s reform or die mentality. I mention this because Jupiter will make its last square to Pluto on August 3.
For the rest of us, with the Moon in Sagittarius, emotional energy may be running high, especially as we work up to the August 7 lunar eclipse. And, between Pluto and the energy of the eclipses, something HAS to change. What would happen if we stopped fighting the inevitable?
PS — I’m doing a webinar version of the eclipse workshop I hosted recently. If you’re one of the many people asking me to record it or do an online version, here is your chance! The webinar is scheduled for Sunday, August 6 at 4 pm New York time, 1 pm Los Angeles, 9 pm London, and 10 pm Paris. If you can’t make it live, you will get a recorded version with your registration. Details here.
