Welcome to Taurus Season! The Sun arrived yesterday in the second sign of the zodiac as well as the first earth sign. It’s a season to get back to the fundamentals. What do we need to feel safe and secure? Food and money? A home and things to fill it with?

With Taurus, we need to touch, smell, and taste things. It’s a sign that teaches us about the physicality of life as well as the pleasure of enjoying the material world. Although many of us are confined to home right now, we can still tap into Taurus’s need for life’s simple luxuries. We can cook something hearty. We can bake something sweet. We can wrap ourselves up in a favorite blanket.

Taurus’s instinct is to preserve and create stability for life to take root and flourish. Its instinct is to also gather and collect, something that we may feel more strongly with Venus in Gemini all season long. Do keep in mind that Uranus is also in Taurus and despite despite these instincts, we may see something radically shift this season, especially when we have the Taurus New Moon on April 22.

This week is a check in on our Uranus in Taurus story that began in March 2019. Think back to what’s upended, transformed, and awakened since then? And make sure you read my Uranus in Taurus: Sign by Sign guide to get a reminder of what part of your life has been changing and needs to evolve even more.

I’ll be talking all about the Taurus New Moon as well as this week’s Pluto Retrograde in my Facebook Live today, April 20. You can watch the replay on YouTube as well as IGTV or listen to the audio on Spotify.
