The Sun lines up with Saturn in Capricorn, giving us a day to think seriously about our lives, our futures, and what we want to work to achieve in the coming year. It’s also a day to hold ourselves accountable and strive to be better versions of ourselves.
Saturn is the planet of duty and responsibility. It speaks to the lessons of life and, in particular, the specific lessons we have to learn throughout our lives so our soul can mature. Saturn sets boundaries. It calls us on our stuff. It shows us where we need to reach higher and push ourselves further. Saturn is, in modern speak, “adulting.”
What do you want to achieve this year? Saturn speaks to hard work and planning. Yes, we can creatively vision all we want, but we need to help bring that vision into reality. Note that Saturn will be in Capricorn until the end of 2020, so whatever is going on right now is part of a story that’s only a third of the way through.
This line up of the Sun and Saturn is setting us up for the solar eclipse on January 5. Falling at 15 degrees Capricorn and picking up on the energies of Saturn and Pluto, this is a powerful eclipse, one that is going to required us to make some serious changes in our lives over the next six months so that we are more in alignment with our highest potential.
