Mercury joins the Sun in Taurus, a conjunction that can bring insights and realizations, especially around our material lives. Since we are very close to the Taurus New Moon, these insights may give clarity to the steps or decisions we need to make in May.
Anytime the Sun and Mercury align, it also means that we’re not too far away from Mercury Retrograde. In this case, we have a month and a half to go before Mercury turns retrograde at 26 Cancer on June 29 (same day as the Capricorn Full Moon).
Mercury typically likes to move around, but Mercury in Taurus has to take its time, to think things through, and weigh its options against its need for safety and stability. Any insights we may have could be about making sure our choices align with our values.
Note that we are in the dark of the moon, which is typically a time to rest and reflect, to tie up loose ends and projects. The Taurus New Moon on May 16-17 will be a reset for the remaining days of Taurus Season.
