Venus arrives in Gemini, a change of pace for Taurus Season. After grazing along in Taurus, Venus seeks movement and a change of scenery in Gemini. It values curiosity and education that may show up as a need to travel and time spent learning.
Venus in Gemini is only the appetizer for tomorrow’s major sky shift. Uranus joins Venus Gemini, a change that will ripple out into our experiences over the coming months and years. In fact, Uranus will spend the next six years in Gemini. (For comparison, Venus spends only 3-4 weeks in a sign.)
Uranus is the last of the outer planets to change signs, a series of planetary changes that started in 2023-2024 when Pluto entered Aquarius followed by 2025-2026 when Neptune entered Aries. Whatever Gemini rules in our astrology — it could be our relationship sign or our career sign, for example — will begin to undergo a major transformation. Of course, each person will experience this energy differently. But we have to understand that the role of Uranus is to spark evolution, to break us free from the past or anything that confines us.
So, if Gemini is our career sign, then something about our professional life will begin to evolve in significant ways. We may make a major career change over the coming months and years, we finally gain recognition for something we’ve been working to launch in the world, or we may reinvent our relationship with responsibility, status, and power. These are just a few examples. Astrology always meets us where we are at and usually follows the course of existing events, although Uranus can be a wildcard influence.
Notably, if you are a Gemini or Gemini rising, your life is about to change. I know that is a grand statement on my end, but over and over again as a professional astrologer I’ve seen the power of Uranus as a transiting influence. Uranus can awaken us, shake up the status quo, liberate us, and open us up to new consciousness and pathways.
When I look back on my own life to the time when Uranus changed signs, I can see distinctive chapters. In 2019, when Uranus entered Taurus, I left my IT day job to become a full time astrologer. 2011, when Uranus entered Aries, was the end of a major relationship. 2023, when Uranus entered Pisces, set things in motion that led me to moving to New York in 2004. I can see a similar shift in 1995-1996 when Uranus entered Aquarius, which was when I was a senior in high school.
