Yesterday’s new moon has turned the page. We again shift our attention to relationship and connection in all its forms. There’s a sense of movement in anticipation of new potentials. The Sun also bids its farewell to Libra for another year.
Another Libra Season has nearly come and gone. Waiting in the wings, however, is Scorpio, the 8th sign of the zodiac, a sign that brings intimacy and vulnerability to Libra’s relationship. With the energies of the new moon, Scorpio Season will navigate the emotional depths within our relationships and even within our psyche. (Read my Libra New Moon report.)
The role of Scorpio, amongst many, is to help us to have the courage to make necessary changes, to create the situations that forge emotional growth and maturity, that help us to find the new spaces and horizons in Sagittarius, the sign that follows Scorpio.
In other news, Neptune returns to Pisces today, a sign that it has traveled from February 2012. Yes, Neptune spends 14 years in a zodiac sign, a long arc that can parallel larger chapters of our lives. Since each planet and sign plays a role, Neptune in Pisces has helped us to pull back the veil between this world and the next, to open our spirituality in new ways. But the darker side of Neptune perhaps can be seen as a loss of connection to the real world.
For the next three months, until January 26, 2026, we have something that needs to be wrapped up, a story that needs to come to a conclusion. We don’t always notice Neptune. It works in the intermediary, the emotional, and the spiritual. But Neptune is there and so is the thread of something larger that takes us all the way back to 2011-2012.
